At present, doctors at ORSC can access electronically your lab reports, X-ray studies, and medical record from your primary care doctor and specialists if they have switched to an electronic format. ORSC is also participating in the community-wide effort, led by Douglas County Individual Practice Association, Inc., (DCIPA), to have all patients’ medical record into an electronic format called EHR (electronic health record). This real-time, 3-dimensional imaging system allows for safer surgery in the tight space of the ethmoid sinuses adjacent to the eyes. In addition, the ORSC operating rooms include the Image Guidance Navigation System for complex sinus surgery cases. To enhance patient care, the center uses PACS (picture archiving & communications system) which allows electronic access to imaging studies. We now serve 7,000 to 8,000 patients annually, both for outpatient surgical procedures and endoscopies. The center, which opened on February 17, 2003, has grown rapidly over the past five years thanks to the support of our doctors and the community. On NovemMercy acquired full ownership of the ORegon Surgery Center, a joint-venture with local physicians. Oregon Surgery Center, Roseburg, Oregon, July 19, 2016.
